Celebrating three years as a Games Artist at Storm Games.

Join us in celebrating Louie Jordan’s third work anniversary at Storm! Over the past three years, Louie has become an integral part of our team, leaving an indelible mark on both our games, the office culture and his colleagues. His incredible talent, boundless creativity, and dedication have been instrumental to our success. It’s not just his contributions to our projects that stand out - but also the positive energy and enthusiasm he brings every day!

What has three years at Storm Games taught you?

'Wow, already! I've learnt so much about the industry in the last three years so it's really hard for me to pin point one specific thing. I think what has changed the most for me, is the way in which my approach to the whole development process has evolved as i've learnt more about it.

I think the deeper understanding of 'game developement' as a whole process has ultimately allowed me to become more future focused on what the end product will be - both technically and visually. By understanding more of how different aspects of the product work together, has definitely enhanced the efficiency of my skills and the quality of my work.

When i first started as a Junior Game Artist three years ago, my role was specifically focused on creating visual assets (symbols, characters, etc) around the predetermined specifications, and i would soley focus on meeting that intial criteria.

Today, with the growth of the business and the evolution of our products, my role definitely requires me to think more about the future beyond the 'current' graphic that i'm working on. Through understanding the specification of what that specific artwork is right now and also making sure i create work that can be used across a variety of other means in future; from marketing, to different gaming systems and more.

I feel that as anyone working in the creative industry, you're always learning more about how to create the most impact with the visuals. Yet, this is often best achieved through knowing a little bit more about all the aspects involved in the game development process and beyond'

Louie’s impact on our team goes far beyond his impressive artistic skills - he’s a true team player and a huge character in the office, making every day more enjoyable for everyone around him. On behalf of the entire team, we’re incredibly thankful to have Louie with us and excited for many more years of collaboration and success ahead! Happy third anniversary, Louie!
